
The Bread Knife
The bread knife is one of those that you don't particularly need but if you cut bread, especially homemade, a lot then you should consider picking one up.
Typically all you need for bread is some form of straight, serrated blade, the longer the better for smooth, precise slicing. I prefer a rounded serration like the one seen in the image. This style of serration allows for a very easy cut that won't tear the bread.
If you use a dull serrated blade for slicing bread you'll just end up with torn up bread.
