
Tomato sauce is one of those foods that seems to get better with time age. Making a tomato sauce and using it right away can make a delicious meal, but if you put it in the fridge for a day or two it will usually create an outstanding meal.
Tomato sauces can be used is such a wide variety of foods such as pasta, pizza, lasagna, etc... that there is no correct way to make it. The only real prerequisite to making a tomato sauce is to use tomatoes, other than that you can do just about anything you want to it from using fresh herbs and making a light, fresh sauce to using creole seasonings, peppers and cayenne to create a sauce with some kick. It completely depends on the dish it will go on.
